If you’re free in Raleigh Friday night, you should come on down to Epona and Oak for Love Bug 2011. The centerpiece of the event is a draw-off featuring a slew of Raleigh artists. You can buy their freshly finished art right on the spot! Proceeds go to Toxic Free NC.
I’ll be shutterbuggin’.
Here’s what New Raleigh had to say about last year’s event.
Come see some of my work at the Raleigh City Museum! Up through March.
Guess what! Some of The Future’s So Bright will be featured an exhibition at the Raleigh City Museum: Portraits of Raleigh 2.
The opening is August 6, 6-9. Live music, food and photos for days.
From what I’ve seen of Portraits of Raleigh 1, it should be really great.
I can’t wait to see all the other pieces.
The Future’s So Bright portrait series (see below) was shot at this event.
The Kirby Derby is like a super block party. There was a parade. There was racing. There were costumes. There was sweat.
Thanks to the Kirby residents and participants for being good sports and lending me a hand even though it was hot as heck and things looked a little tenuous for me.
